Plenty has already been written about Cowan, and the chatter appears to be valid. He looks the part of a future blue-chip recruit and should start picking up offers in the near future. He already has college interest from Maryland, Georgetown, Virginia and West Virginia.
Cowan is a pure point guard. He has strong handles and plays with a swagger that derives from confidence in his ability as a passer and shooter.
Arguably the best part about Cowan is that he’s so young and will continue to grow both physically and in his knowledge for the game.
“Anthony plays the point and he’s doing well at that,” DC Assault U15 coach Zach Suber said. “He’s good at being a vocal leader. Then he’s extremely shooting the ball well from 3-point range. Then he just has a will to win. This past weekend, he was our key guy. His determination got the other guys going.”
