 KANSAS STATE
ALL-MET ELITE

RIVERDALE BAPTIST HS.
UPPER MARLBORO MD.

Kansas State’s basketball team strengthened its backcourt, picking up an oral commitment from point guard Nigel Johnson.

Johnson announced on his Twitter account Saturday night: “Proud to say I just committed to Kansas State University!! Excited to be a Wildcat next year!!” He indicated he intends to sign a letter of intent this week.

The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Johnson is a Rivals three-star prospect from Upper Marlboro, Md. (Riverdale Baptist). He plays for the D.C. Assault AAU team that produced former K-State players Michael Beasley and Rodney McGruder.

Thomas had previously committed to George Washington but recently reopened his recruitment, drawing interest from Missouri as well as K-State.
