Nigel Johnson, a 6-1 sophomore guard who averaged 5.2 points for Kansas State this past season, is transferring to Rutgers, according to a person familiar with the commitment Tuesday.

 

Johnson has ties to Eddie Jordan, having played for the Rutgers basketball coach with D.C. Assault when Jordan piloted the Washington-area AAU program four years ago.
