Penn State received a commitment from 2016 Hyattsville (Md.) Oak Hill Academy small forward Joe Hampton on Saturday.

The 6-foot-6, 235 pound forward had offers from Xavier and DePaul and is ranked No. 80 overall by 247Sports.

 

Hampton recently camped at Penn State at the end of June, and announced he was transferring to national power Oak Hill Academy in July. Hampton will be teammates with 2015 Penn State Josh Reaves. 

 

The four star is Penn State's first commit of the 2016 class and was recruited by Dwayne Anderson.
