Nike Basketball‘s 2014 NOLA Gumbo League Collection takes its design inspiration from the city of New Orleans, home to the 2014 NBA All-Star Game. Not everything is what it first appears to be in New Orleans — a trait shared by Kevin Durant, whose skill set defies the expectations one normally associates with a near seven-footer. His virtually limitless scoring range is redefining what we expect from a forward, and the Nike KD 6 “Illusion” celebrates Durant’s remarkable versatility. The design showcases hand-drawn patterns on the upper symbolizing KD’s fluidity, while a teal glow-in-the-dark outsole also represents the “spark” of his game. The kicks come with a commemorative tarot card and special edition box. Look for them to launch February 14th.
