B.J. Stith, a rising senior who has pledged to play basketball at the University of Virginia, is expected to transfer to Oak Hill Academy next fall, said his father, Bryant Stith. B.J. toured the campus during spring break and got to know coach Steve Smith.

The reason for the move, Bryant said, is to give B.J. the highest level of competition possible before he enrolls at Virginia.

Oak Hill, located in Mouth of Wilson, Va., plays some of the nation’s toughest squads and has been called home by a number of future NBA players, including Dwight Howard and Kevin Durant.
