Kris Joseph has signed with the Brooklyn Nets for the remainder of the 2012-13 season, according to Nets general manager Billy King.

Joseph was a second round pick in the 2012 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics. He played six games with the Celtics this season. He spent time in the NBA D-League with Maine, before being traded o the Springfield Armor.

The Nets signed Joseph to a 10-day contract on April 2. He has appeared in three games with Brooklyn.

A prep standout at Archbishop Carroll, Joseph played for Coach Clinton Perrow… Former SU standouts Lawrence Moten (men’s basketball) and Marvin Graves (football) also attended Archbishop Carroll… In 2006-07, Joseph averaged 18.8 points and 5.0 assists per game … As a senior, Joseph had a season-high 32 points in the Arby’s Classic … Archbishop Carroll was 26-11 in 2007-08 … In a 70-48 loss to Gonzaga, Joseph had 21 points … He tallied 25 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks in a 70-61 defeat of DeMatha …

When Archbishop Carroll lost at Cardozo, 56-55, Joseph had 14 points and 10 rebounds … In the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) Tournament, Archbishop Carroll defeated Our Lady of Good Counsel, 65-55 … Joseph had 21 points, five rebounds, three assists and three blocks … Two games earlier his squad had lost to Our Lady of Good Counsel in a regular-season matchup … He had 22 points … Gonzaga defeated the Lions in the WCAC tournament despite 19 points from Joseph …

 He participated in the Baltimore All-Stars vs. U.S. All-Stars Exhibition in April … He played for the U.S. squad that was defeated, 107-82… He was picked to play in the 35th annual Under Armour Capital Classic in College Park, Md. … A member of the Capital All-Stars, he had nine points and five rebounds in a loss to the U.S. All-Stars … Joseph earned 2008 second team honors from the Washington Post … He played AAU basketball with the DC Assault … In the summer of 2007 he won MVP honors at the Southern Invitational and led the squad to the U-17 Gold title … He was ranked 114th overall and the 17th small forward in the class of 2008 by Rivals.com.
