NBA star Kevin Durant scored a game-high 30 points to lead Team USA to its second consecutive Olympic gold medal, 107-100, against Spain in the championship game in London.
It was the United States 14th gold medal in men's basketball. Durant established Team USA's all-time scoring mark in a single Olympic competition with 153 points. His 30-point performance in the title game was the first in American history. Only five players have done it at any point in Olympic competition.
