ALL-MET ELITE
RIVERDALE BAPTIST
UPPER MARLBORO MD.
1. Riverdale Baptist won the chip this season after transferring to Riverdale Baptist what was your mindset before the season began and also after when you guys won the chip? My mindset going into the year was that I knew we would be a very well rounded team that was ridiculously talented. However I didn't know how well we would gel together because it was so many new pieces and everyone felt that they were the best. We went thru many ups and downs through out the season. But after the end of the season and we won the championship I felt we had so much chemistry and we were unstoppable. It was a family that had a common goal in mind.
2. You are playing with a lot of high profile prospects with DC Premier on the UA circuit how has that experience been & how has it helped you to become a better player? Playing with the DC Premier organization with so many top players in our class such as Prentiss Hubb, and Jermaine Harris has raised my game to another level. I had to find ways to be a factor other than just providing points. I'm becoming more of a point guard and a lockdown defender in my opinion. Being on the floor with them makes me want to perform at a higher level because of the respect and bond we share as brothers and teammates.
3. What schools are currently showing you interests and what schools have offered you so far? Schools that are currently interested in me are Penn State, Cincinnati, George Mason, Lipscomb, ACU, Missouri, UVA, VTech, Umass Lowell, JMU, Radford, Rice and the only school that has officially offered me was Richmond.
4. You are considered to be one of the best/flashiest ball handlers in the D.C. area how did you develop your handle and what do you do to improve it every year? I became such a fantastic ball handler because ever since the age of 3 I took pride in my dribbling. I work restlessly everyday on my dribbling skills. I do a variety of drills that enhance my dribbling. Just being able to know nobody defending me can strip me gives me the utmost confidence, also being able to dribble as well as I can makes it easier to make things happen on the court for myself and teammates.
5. What are your goals for the spring/summer & sr. year? My goals for the spring/summer are to earn at least 10 college offers, make it into the ESPN top 60 for point guards and be selected for the Under Armour All American camp. For my senior year I want to win a 2nd championship avg. 17+ points and 7+ assists, make All-Met & if possible be Gatorade POY for Maryland.
6. What are you looking for in a college basketball coach, program & system? When I make my college decision I want to go somewhere I'm needed not just wanted. Where the environment of the college and basketball team is a big family. Also a team that plays my style of basketball which is fast paced and aggressive. Academics I want the school to have a strong academic background and also have my major and have the ability to make connections outside of the basketball court that can help my life in the future.
