On The Marquee: Three top-five rising seniors at the same event? Yes, you can bet that Giles, Tatum and Monk will command significant attention. Giles and Tatum (along with Josh Jackson, who will be in New Orleans) are considered top contenders for the No. 1 spot in the class, and they’ll face formidable opposition during the weekend.
Additionally, Nike appears to be very strong with the Class of 2017 — the top guys mostly will play up with the 17s, rather than with the 16s — and Porter, Troy Brown and Zach Brown all will be primary attractions. Numerous previously unknown high-major talents will emerge as well, and watching them blow up in real time makes for great fun.
